What to watch for on this sheet

The cow and the horse are the two that get mixed up on this page: both are big, four-legged, and shown in profile. Point out the horns and the tail before starting and the sheet stops being solvable by guessing.

How to use it

Print it (or save as PDF and print later), hand over one pencil, and have the child name each picture out loud before drawing the line. The naming is half the exercise: shadow matching trains visual discrimination, and saying the word attaches vocabulary to it. Free to print and photocopy for your classroom or home.
